Clips list

The Clips list holds values previously entered for each field name that appears in any form. The exception to this statement is that if you have purged the database, some values might be gone. Clips are ordered in inverse chronological order; that is, the most recently used values are shown first in the list.

When you select a field in the Field list, FormsAssistant searches the Clips database for all recent values entered for the selected field.

Selecting a clip

You can select a recent value using either the mouse or the keyboard. In either case, both the Fields list and the Preview pane reflect the new value for the selected field.

With the mouse, click on the appropriate Clip.
From the keyboard, use the UP and DOWN arrow keys or the PAGE UP or PAGE DOWN keys to search for an appropriate value. With the value highlighted, press ENTER to select it.
Note:As you use FormsAssistant and insert different values, you will notice an increasing delay as the add-in looks for the recent values corresponding to the selected field. When the number of entries reaches a few thousand items you should consider purging the database to increase the performance of FormsAssistant.
