By linking fields together, you can expedite the process of filling in a form that contains pieces of data that are commonly associated with each other. In this example, individual committee members' names, addresses, and phone numbers are linked together--as indicated by the asterisk. The number following the asterisk identifies the individual group components, in this case, four people.
To fill in this form, you would open the form and click the FormsAssistant button on the toolbar. You would then select one field into which you would input a value and click the Linked button. The remaining values would be added automatically. After all of the fields were filled in, you would Process the file.
