Saving presentation models as templates

Presentation models saved as PowerPoint templates may be reused when you create a New PowerPoint presentation. To save a presentation as a template, follow these general steps:

PowerPoint 2003

1.	With the presentation open, click File > Save As select .pot as the file type.

2.	Navigate, if necessary, to the Templates folder and click Save.

PowerPoint 2007

1.	Click the Microsoft Office Button and Save As.

2.	Select .potx as the file type

3.	Click the Trusted Templates folder and click Save.
