The general procedure for creating a table of contents in your PowerPoint presentation follows:
| 2. | Select a style for the table of contents from the TOC Style box on the Configuration dialog box, or set up a new configuration. |
| 3. | To exclude certain slides from the table of contents, click Ignore rules on the Configuration dialog box and select those pages. |
| 4. | To give the table of contents a title, enter the title in the TOC Title box on the Configuration dialog box. For example, enter Testing TOC to get the following result.

If you have a lengthy table of contents that spans more than one page, you can include that number in the title by checking the box Append numbers on spanned TOC slides, as well as Span TOC multiple slides, on the Configuration dialog box.
 |
| 5. | Decide whether to separate the slide title from its page number with a comma or a tab. Tab separation is right-aligned.

| 6. | To save space and condense the table of contents, take advantage of the two-column option by checking Use two columns. The comma and tab options apply here, as well.

| 7. | If you only want Title slides included in the table of contents, check the Include Title slides box and uncheck the Include Normal slides box. Check the corresponding Numbers on title slides check box to include the slide number in the table of contents. If you want to include both Title and Normal slides, check both boxes. To indent normal slides, use the arrows in the Indent Normal slides (inches) box to select the amount of space. For example,

| 8. | You might also consider hyperlinking the slide numbers so that you can move from the table of contents to the selected page with a single click. To do this, click Include Links on slide numbers. This feature only works in the screen show, and slide numbers must be included in the table of contents. |
